After installing System Center 2012 Operations Manager SP1 and Data Protection Manager 2012 SP1 i was surprised that no Management packs available in OpsMgr Online Catalog.
I came to know that DPM Management Packs are located in DPM 2012 SP1 Media under (\SCDPM\ManagementPacks\en-US) folder.
In this post I will go through Importing and Configuring DPM 2012 SP1 Management packs for SCOM 2012 SP1.
In SCCM 2012 SP1 its not complicated to update SCCM Agents once SCCM Server is updated to the latest Update Roll-up
Below Snapshot show exactly what you need to do :
Administration –> Sites –> Hierarchy Settings –> Automatic Client Update tab.
I would like to share one post that helped me in removing “temporary template” from SCVMM 2012 SP1.
We created a VM Template then deleted it, once I tried to delete referenced VHD File you would receive an error that a dependency Temporary Template is linked to this VHD.
How to Fix?
glad to share with you a new management pack I developed. its IBM Websphere MQ Management Pack for System Center Operations Manager (2007 R2 and 2012)
This Management Pack monitor and measure availability and performance of IBM MQ Components (Queue Managers, Channels, Listeners and Queues) which installed on Windows Operating System Only.
Read More to know how this management pack works and download it.
I would like to publish an old Management Pack I developed using xSNMP (http://xsnmp.codeplex.com/). this management pack is used to monitor and measure availability for NCR ATM Machines and provide live alert mechanism when any issue triggered.
1- SCOM 2007 R2, This management pack works only with SCOM 2007 R2. SCOM 2012 not supported.
2- If you have large number of machines (> 200), I recommend you to dedicate one management server or agent to manage those ATMs to not affect SCOM Performance.
